BIOREME has launched!

We were so pleased to see over 70 attendees at our online launch event on 9 February 2022. It was fantastic to see representatives from a wide range of disciplines and sectors.

Dr Bindi Brook, our Network chair, kicked off the session with an excellent introduction to the unmet challenges in respiratory medicine.

We then had a number of interesting presentations from our theme leads who; introduced biophysical modelling and the current state of the art, provided a clinical perspective on the potential for biophysical models, and outlined a clear example of where biophysical modelling can have real impact in the case of COVID-19.

After outlining BIOREME’s funding opportunities and our planned future events, the session closed with a lively Q and A hosted by our co-chair Prof Alex Horsley.
