Advancing Lung Diagnostic Technologies – A Scientific Meeting


We are delighted to invite you to a scientific meeting on advancing lung diagnostic technologies, hosted in collaboration with The INSIGNEO Institute.

Where: Halifax Hall Hotel, Sheffield, UK

When: 17th June 2025 (Networking dinner and accommodation available the night of the 16th June)

Who is it for?

We aim to bring together a diverse range of expertise to explore the latest lung diagnostic technologies, including; researchers, clinicians, industry and charity representatives. 

Event structure

There will be 4 sessions exploring: 

  • Physiological measurement

  • Pulmonary Imaging technologies

  • Home monitoring and smart devices

  • Integration of existing technologies

During the first three sessions participants will explore state of the art technologies in lung diagnostics through presentations by invited speakers and panel discussions. The final session will focus on how these technologies can enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes, while also addressing the challenges of implementation and data interpretation. There will be plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking throughout the day.

Evening of 16th June: We also invite you to join us the evening before the meeting for a networking dinner and drinks in Sheffield. Accommodation is available at Halifax Hall Hotel.

Financial support

If you are an ECR without sufficient funding to attend, you can apply for a travel support fund on registration to cover travel and accommodation costs up to £200.

This meeting is being organised by Prof Jim Wild, Prof Peter Robbins and Dr Laurie Smith, supported by the BIOREME committee and The INSIGNEO Institute.
