ECRs: We need your input!

We’re setting up a forum to connect Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across BIOREME’s remit. The aim is to make it easier for ECRs to discuss research in a more informal way and help advise each other on areas within their expertise. We don’t have a strict definition of ECR in mind, but it would be aimed primarily at those researchers whose day-to-day activities involve the nitty-gritty detail of a particular project: e.g. those writing the code, performing the experiments, doing the maths, and analysing the data. Note we are including PhD candidates as ECRs.

We believe that this is will be best managed with the help of some ECR volunteers who will know best what kind of platforms and formats will be most helpful for their work. Initially, this will just consist of an online meeting to discuss feasible options and come up with a plan of action. After that, you can decide whether you want to continue to play a role in organising the forum. If you would like to give your input please contact us or e-mail us directly.
