BIOREME becomes a Partner of the Avicenna Alliance

We are delighted to announce that BIOREME is now a partner of the Avicenna Alliance, a non-profit organisation advocating for the regulation and deployment of computer modeling and simulation (a.k.a. in silico methods) in medical research. Its members are businesses from start-ups and SMEs through to multi-national companies with activities in areas such as pharmaceutics, medical devices and scientific software, and it is twinned with the Virtual Physiological Human Institute (VPHi), which consists of academics and research institutions working in “in silico medicine”.

Avicenna and VPHi work together to shape regulatory policy in the EU and across the world. They also support researchers and industries in this area through education and dissemination of best practice (e.g. via webinars and papers/books), building new connections (through conferences and workshops), and supporting EC-funded projects in this area.

As a partner of the Avicenna Alliance, BIOREME will benefit from wider exposure to a global network of industry and researchers working in in silico medicine. This will give our events and initiatives wider reach and give BIOREME members even greater impact in shaping the future of respiratory medicine.
